Mem 2.0 is the AI Thought Partner that captures your ideas, meetings, and research—and brings them back to you exactly when you need them–so you can make the most of every thought.
Available on Mac, Windows, Web, and iOS.
Hey everyone—Kevin here, founder of Mem. 👋
We built Mem because remembering things is hard. Notes, ideas, tasks—they slip away, and most tools out there make you work harder just to stay “organized.” That never felt right to me. Productivity shouldn’t be about effort—it should be about progress.
That’s why with Mem, we started by fixing the most important problem: recall. If you can describe it, you can find it. And with Mem 2.0, we’re taking the next step—transforming a notes app into a true AI Thought Partner.
Here’s what’s new and unique in Mem 2.0:
- Voice Mode: Turn your brain dumps into beautifully organized notes and let Mem take meeting notes for you.
- Agentic Chat: Mem 2.0 can create, edit, and organize your notes for you—not just conversation, but actual action.
- Heads Up: Automatic resurfacing of notes, topics, and meeting timelines that appear exactly when you need them.
- Clean Up: Turn messy thoughts into nicely formatted notes in a single click.
- Chrome Extension: An agentic web clipper that turns websites into beautiful, organized notes in a single click.
- Version history: Confidently collaborate with AI.
- Offline mode: Capture ideas on the go, even if your phone's on airplane mode.
- Dark mode (Yes, finally.)
What I’m most proud of is that Mem feels just as simple as Apple Notes, but with intelligence baked in. No dashboards, no PARA systems, no endless tagging. Just type what’s in your head, and Mem makes sure it’s there when you need it.
We’ve been sweating the details for two years to make this launch possible, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.
Would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and questions!
Cheers
Kevin
@kevinfmoody Congrats on Mem 2.0! Nailing recall and keeping it Apple‑Notes simple is the real unlock. Agentic chat + Heads Up feels like productivity that actually shows up when it matters. Well done.

@kevinfmoody , I use a lot of note-taking apps, and Mem by far is my favorite personal knowledge management system.
Mem encourages a relaxed approach to note-taking, letting me write freely without the pressure of strict formatting, while still making it easy to recall specific information later. Exactly what I’ve been looking for for years—thanks, team!
That freedom to not worry about formatting and organizing is exactly the feeling we strive for. Awesome to hear you feel it!

My favorite note app since forever - because of its simplicity. Not because it’s simple, but because it makes it easy for me and my messy head to get organized without organizing. Can’t wait for what the team develops this monster into in the future! 🙌
@kevinfmoody The finished versions looks AMAZING! Great job! (just waiting on that Norwegian language transcription ability now and I'll be yours forever 🤪 )

Im a long time Mem user - and Mem LOVER! This app changed my life (seriously, it helped me with my health and gave me a diagnosis even my doctor forgot, there is a blog entry on Mem about it). v1 was great, but THIS version is awesome! This now makes my notes even smarter and I dont even have to organize them anymore. I literally can ask Mem everything and it just doesn't check my notes anymore - it even organizes, creates or makes them better! This is literally the pinnacle of note taking. And, on top, the support and the whole team is amazing!
Thanks, Kevin, Maile and Team for everything you have done here!
From Evernote ➡️ ClickUp ➡️ Notion ➡️ Mem 2.0… I finally found my jam!
This app is like that one friend who actually shows up when you call for help.
Hit the note button, BAM...i'm ready to write a note. Doesn’t sound like rocket science, but trust me, when you’re in a client meeting and someone pulls out the “remember what we said 3 years ago?” card, Mem is the only app that doesn’t leave me sweating bullets. It pulled the note, the linked emails, the receipts, basically handed me my BossBabe crown on a silver platter.
Other apps? They want me to be Indiana Jones digging for lost notes. I don’t have time for a treasure hunt! I’ve got a toddler, I homeschool a teen (who started to use mem this year), and I run a business. I need simple. I need fast. I need “don’t make me cry in front of my clients.”
Mem gets it (or if they didn't know, thanks!)
Moms deserve tech that doesn’t treat us like we have 27 uninterrupted hours a day and 5 members on the team.
Also shoutout to their Slack team—quick, friendly, and don’t make anyone feel dumb when asking a questions.
That’s worth five cents and five stars in my book.
So yeah, Mem 2.0? Game-changer.
(PS. Patiently waiting for my swag hat because yes, I will rock it!)

I had initially used Mem when it came out and found the entire concept interesting -- but felt it lack certain features that made it my daily driver. I can genuinely say that playing around with Mem 2.0 today is making me believe that THIS version is what I could use as my main app for notes and ideas.
Visually looks a LOT better, works fast on web and on the apps, the chrome clipper is doing everything I want from that extension, the voice capture and transcription is very good and quick -- and it finally has dark mode for when I am writing in the evening without the glare of the screen.
Impressive work by the team -- it is true, it does feel like a new product 👏.
Keeping track of everything is harder than ever. Ever since ChatGPT came out with memory, projects and, custom GPTs, I've been trying to use it to build a repository of my thoughts and notes. While all were decent in the short term or for specific uses - they were terrible containers to store everything and be able to access what you need in a moment's notice.
Enter Mem. As I grew more frustrated, I saw a post on Nate's Substack about building your second brain. His options included Notion, Obsidian, and Mem with clear observations on the value that each posed. Mem stuck out to me as the most obvious choice for the way that I work with the lowest overhead, the lowest maintenance, and the lowest effort to recall notes and ideas from yesterday all the way back to years ago. I've been part of the Beta group for a couple of months now, putting Mem through its paces and testing its capabilities. With anywhere between 10 and 30 notes created a day and recording transcripts lasting from 2 minutes to 3 hours, and I can say this is absolutely the best evolution that note-taking apps have ever made.
Is it perfect yet? Of course not. If you are looking for a perfect app, they don't exist. Is it better than anything else currently available and something you should seriously try to help you organize your thoughts, your life, and raise the bar on your own work... absolutely. Kevin and his team are constantly innovating and listening to their users to build what we need. Give it a try, and by that I mean commit to using it with the philosophy that nothing is perfect, but that this might be the closest thing to it and getting closer every day.
Thanks so much, Ben! And I agree—I tell folks that committing to one app is even more important than committing to the right one. Glad that's Mem for you!

Thanks, Hassan! It's taken time to deliver on the original promise but I'm glad you've noticed the leap we've made!
Big fan of Mem since the start. This refresh is the best it's even been and I just can't wait to see what features they'll add next. :>
