Meetro - Meet people nearby through real plans

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Christopher, founder of Meetro. I built Meetro because meeting people in a new city still feels harder than it should. When you’re traveling solo, new to a place, or just keen to do something spontaneous, your options are usually scattered across WhatsApp groups, Instagram pages, dating apps, event platforms, or random group chats. Meetro is my attempt to make that simpler. The idea is simple: You can create a hangout for something you feel like doing — coffee, a hike, sunset drinks, beach day, coworking, a market, or anything nearby — and people around you can join. Or you can open the app and see what real people nearby are already doing. No swiping. No matching. No endless “hey” messages. Just real plans with real people. We’re starting in Cape Town and learning fast from early users. The app is still early, but the mission is clear: help people move from scrolling online to actually meeting in real life.
