Matomo - Open Web Analytics Platform

Piwik rules. Open source Google Analytics if you care about owning your data. This is particularly useful if you like to build your own charts and need your web data in a query able database.

Using Matomo since it was Piwik for many years, It's like Google Analytics but: 1. You get to own your data 2. It's more clear and better UX 3. It's open source and you can host it on your own server 4. Since you own your data, you can use it for data mining and custom faster data processing Great I love it and recommend it. 👍

Matomo is a great choice if you want both to understand you audience better and want to be compliant with GDPR.

Very useful, I have not used google analytics so I cannot compare there but this has everything I need (and more)! Updating is seamless as well which was a nice surprise :)
