Hey everyone! I'm Sameer Zahid, the maker of QuizWhiz and the MathWhiz tool that we've just launched. MathWhiz aims to help students understand all the steps in solving mathematical problems, including advanced calculus concepts. Simply enter the problem directly, use the keyboard, or try one of the listed examples, and get a detailed breakdown of the solution. The solution contains all the steps, an animated walkthrough, helpful tips and tricks, and optionally a graph. The actual solving is done by SymPy, a symbolic math library, which means every answer is deterministic and mathematically correct. Then we layer LLMs on top for the parts they're actually good at — generating natural language explanations for each step, creating animated visual walkthroughs with GSAP, and producing study tips like mental shortcuts and common mistakes to watch for.
