GitHub Integration within Markdown Studio - Edit markdown without losing work
Today we’re launching GitHub integration for Markdown Studio — a markdown editor that syncs safely with Gists and repos, without the usual “where did my work go?” moments.
Most markdown files already live in GitHub — READMEs, docs, design notes, drafts, wikis.
But editing them still feels clunky:
download → edit → commit → push → fix conflicts → hope nothing breaks
Or worse… auto-sync causes race conditions and eats your changes.
We actually lost data testing our own app, so we rebuilt syncing from scratch.
Core purpose
Make GitHub-stored markdown effortless to edit, while keeping Git’s safety and history.
What you get
Manual, Git-style sync (no silent overwrites)
Side-by-side diff + easy conflict merge
Full version history & backups
100% client-side, offline, no sign-up
Edit → Sync → done. Simple. Predictable. Safe.
Would love your feedback and feature ideas!
