This is a great resource. I've been thinking a lot about onboarding recently after listening to the Lenny's Podcast with Kristen Berman. The nugget I pulled from that (and the handful of onboarding sequences I viewed here) is that it's alright to have a slightly longer process if you can show the value of the product upfront, because you're less likely to get the user to give you that information later.
Hi Michael I totally agree! This is a very good tip. With onboarding, you can decrease time to value. This can work pretty well. Especially for companies, which can not provide value instantly. Examples: Intercom, Hotjar. Value comes only after you put the snippet in the app and this is quite a barrier for many users.

Parth I totally agree. Many companies decide that it is secondary for them. But the reality is that it is the first experience to convert visitors into users and then users into devoted customers and this is so crucial.
