I built a side project called MapToPoster JS, an open-source, fully client-side web app that generates high-resolution map posters from any location in the world. You can search any city, address, or landmark, switch between different map styles, customize zoom and layout, then export a high-resolution PNG ready for print. Everything runs entirely in the browser, no backend rendering or server-side image processing. The project is built with vanilla JavaScript, Leaflet, MapLibre GL, Vite, and Tailwind CSS. The main goal was to explore a client-only architecture while still supporting flexible styling and high-res exports, while keeping the codebase open for anyone who wants to learn from it, fork it, or contribute.
