Mapplock 1.0.9: a secret map entrance for your Android vault
I’m Aryan, the maker of Mapplock. Version 1.0.9 is live on Google Play.
Mapplock combines app locking with a photo and file vault behind a secret spot on a map.
How the entrance works:
1. Choose a secret spot on the map.
2. Navigate back to that area on the map and double-tap nearby.
3. Authenticate with a PIN, pattern, or supported fingerprint to open your private space.
This happens on the map on your phone. You do not need to physically travel to that location.
Inside, you can lock apps and protect photos, audio, and supported documents. No Mapplock account is required. Vault files stay locally on your device; online map, search, and weather features can contact their providers.
The latest release also adds place overviews and spoken place names, alongside interface and performance improvements.

For Android users trying it: which part of the initial setup would you simplify first—choosing a secret spot or setting up app-lock permissions?
