What happens to good ideas before they become real work?

Most ideas don't start as plans.

They start as fragments, a quick thought, a voice note, a screenshot, a question, a file you saved for later, or a connection you don't fully understand yet.

The interesting part isn't generating more ideas. It's what happens between having the idea and turning it into something useful.

That's a problem we've been thinking deeply about while building MapLoud.

Most workflows seem to involve jumping between notes, AI chats, documents, mind maps, and project tools. Somewhere along the way, context gets lost.

I'm curious how other builders and creators handle this:

When you have an idea that isn't ready for an outline or project plan yet, where does it go?

And maybe more importantly, what helps you actually come back and develop it instead of forgetting about it?
