What makes a physics-based climbing game challenging but enjoyable?

Hi Product Hunt community!

While working on Make It Over, our physics-based climbing game built with Unity, we explored how much a game's controls and physics can influence the overall experience.

We wanted climbing to feel challenging, where every movement matters and players need to learn from their mistakes to make progress.

But there's a fine line between a game that feels rewarding and one that feels frustrating.

I'd love to hear your thoughts:

  • Do you enjoy games where one mistake can make you lose progress?

  • What matters most to you: responsive controls, realistic physics, or level design?

  • What keeps you trying again after a difficult level?

Make It Over is available on Android:

We're excited to hear your feedback and learn what makes this type of game enjoyable for other players.
