Maida was born from a real struggle: while traveling in non-Muslim countries, finding halal products was difficult—labels were unclear or in unfamiliar languages. Thats why I built Maida in order to solves this. Just scan a barcode to instantly know if a product is Halal, Haram, or Doubtful. It also analyzes ingredients and gives a score out of 100, so you can make better decisions—even if you don’t understand the label.

Hi everyone 👋 I’m the maker of Maida. The idea came from a personal struggle. While traveling in non-Muslim countries, I constantly found it hard to know whether products were halal. Labels were often unclear, in different languages, or full of ingredients I didn’t understand. I started building Maida to solve this. The goal was simple: just scan a barcode and instantly know if a product is Halal, Haram, or Doubtful. Over time, I added ingredient analysis and a scoring system (out of 100) to make decisions even easier.
