MagicPhone - Open-source AI that operates your Android apps

by•
MagicPhone turns text or voice requests into actions across Android apps. Ask from a floating prompt on your current screen, follow progress, stop tasks, and read or hear answers. Connect an eligible ChatGPT account or a compatible AI provider; model costs and limits may apply. Open source (MIT OR Apache-2.0), Android 11+, no root required. Early access: app compatibility varies.

Hi Product Hunt! MagicPhone is an open-source experiment in making Android useful through natural-language tasks. You can type or speak a request, or open a floating prompt over the screen you are already using. It can read permitted screen content, tap, type, scroll, and return an answer in a bubble or a full conversation, with read-aloud support. The app is free and the code is available under MIT OR Apache-2.0. It uses your connected AI provider, so account eligibility, provider charges, and usage limits still apply. It is not an offline assistant: prompts and permitted screen context are sent to that provider. This is early-access software, and compatibility varies across apps and devices. Please supervise consequential tasks and use the Stop control whenever needed. We would love feedback on workflows that work well and those that need improvement.
