Hey y'all! Happy to share with you my small tool to keep sanity on my claude usage limits. I absolutely hate clicking on that little icon within claude desktop to check out my usage. So I was looking into ways to make it easier, and better accessible for myself. So I've built the claude notch usage companion, which basically lives in your macs notch and acts like a dynamic island on your well known iPhones. Like that you can always see that little fella called clawd right next to your notch, animated and with your usage at hand. If you need more details you can click on it to get a breakdown of cost/usage/resets/burnrate etc. Made this thing opensource so you can make it your own if you wish. Love this, finally something useful living in the notch. One thing that would make it perfect: add a small session cost counter that tracks how much each conversation is spending as you go, so I can see in real time when a long chat is burning through credits.

 Thats a great point and already on my list. So should hit the released version rather soon™ :)

 Check it out I pushed a new version that has:

A second page now that you can easily swipe to. It shows you current active sessions and their token usage, allows you to switch to all time view (showing your most demanding project to date).

And some quality of life improvements like showing the Fable usage on the first page in its own tile.

I would love to see some media controls. At the moment i use boring notch and love the features, a mix of this and boring notch would really make me use it

 great idea for now this is out of my scope but I see the value you would want with this. I’ll add it to my backlog unless boring notch already goes that route, after all my little app is open source they could allow to feed in there
