What happens to your digital life if something happens to you?

I’ve been thinking about a problem we rarely prepare for.

If something happened to you tomorrow, would your family know what digital accounts you have?

Not just passwords — but bank accounts, important documents, subscriptions, cloud storage, photos, email accounts, investments, and other parts of your digital life.

I started thinking seriously about this after a death in my family.

What followed was months of trying to understand what existed, where things were stored, which accounts mattered, and how to access important information.

Nothing was intentionally hidden.

The problem was simply that one person held most of that information in their head.

That experience eventually led me to build Lyfos — an encrypted digital vault designed around one question:

How do you securely organize your digital life today, while making sure the right people can access the right information when you’re no longer able to?

The difficult part wasn’t just building a secure vault.

It was designing the handover.

Too easy, and it’s a security risk.
Too difficult, and your family ends up facing the exact problem the product is supposed to solve.

We’re getting close to launching Lyfos on Product Hunt, and I’d like to learn from this community before we do.
