Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m David, an applied AI and automation operator and the person behind Lumyn FDE School. I kept seeing the same gap in AI training: it usually starts with models, agents, and architecture. But the hardest work often happens before any system should be designed. The brief does not match the real workflow. The sponsor and operator disagree. The person who understands the process is missing. A policy conflicts with what was sold. The team needs to change direction without losing momentum or trust. That is the fieldwork good forward-deployed engineers learn through experience—usually the painful kind. I first turned those lessons into The FDE Guide, a detailed open-source reference for production AI delivery. The feedback was encouraging but blunt: the material was useful, yet the volume made it hard to enter. So I built Lumyn FDE School as the practical front door. It includes ten field missions with: - Short lessons - Worked cases - Hands-on exercises - Review rubrics - Downloadable templates - Links into the deeper technical guide You can start with a situation you recognize—an inherited brief, a stakeholder conflict, or a slice that needs proving—rather than reading everything in order. Lumyn is free and open source. It is not a certification, and it is not another course about chaining agents together. The goal is to help more people learn how to understand the work, challenge the brief, earn decisions, and then build the right system.
