What helps you keep reading the Bible when you’re doing it on your own?

by

My mom is the only Christian in our family. Building Luminous for her has made me think about something beyond explaining Bible verses: what helps someone keep learning when they don’t have anyone at home who shares their faith?

I’ve been trying to read the Bible myself, and understanding a passage is sometimes hard enough. Knowing how to keep going is another question.

With Lumia, our AI Bible companion, I’m exploring how conversation can support reading and reflection. Longer term, I also want Luminous to help people find others to learn with.

If you read the Bible on your own, what has helped you most? A reading routine, someone to ask questions, a study group—or something else?

I’d love to hear what has actually worked for you.
