We built Lumi Academy because kids kept asking to "do school" on weekends — launching June 16th 🦉

by

Hey Product Hunt! I'm the founder of Lumi Academy and we go live on Monday June 16th.

The idea started simply: our kids were finishing their schoolwork and then asking to keep going. Not because we pushed them — they genuinely loved the characters. That's when we realized most kids don't hate learning, they hate boring learning.

Lumi Academy is a homeschool curriculum app for kids ages 2–14. Instead of worksheets and videos, kids learn through 7 animated character guides they actually get attached to. They pick their guide, and that character walks them through math, reading, phonics, science, ASL, French, coding, and more.

A few things that make us different:

  • Voice-first for little ones (a 2-year-old can use it solo)

  • - Parent dashboard with real grades, progress tracking, and printable report cards

  • - CCSS-aligned curriculum across 11 subjects

  • - One subscription covers every kid in the household

  • - 48-hour free trial, no credit card required

We'd love to hear from the PH community — what do YOU think is the biggest problem with kids' education apps today? We're all ears before launch day!
