The moment we knew Lumi Academy was real 🦉

I'm Jesse, founder of Lumi Academy — we launched today and I wanted to share the story behind it.

It didn't start with a business plan. It started with my kid finishing their schoolwork and asking "can we do more?"

Not because I pushed them. Not because there was a reward. They just genuinely loved the characters and wanted to keep going. That's when it clicked — most kids don't hate learning. They hate boring learning.

So we built Lumi Academy: an animated homeschool curriculum for ages 2–14 with 7 character guides kids actually bond with. Real subjects (math, phonics, reading, science, ASL, coding, and more), a parent dashboard with printable report cards, and lessons so intuitive even a 2-year-old can use them solo.

We're CCSS + NGSS aligned, accreditation-ready, and built for the families who want something better than a worksheet PDF.
