It's interesting what you find out when you are just tinkering with your ideas. Being an African, I had always wanted to bridge the digital divide between Africa and the rest of the World. Where I thought was lacking most was the use Internet to facilitate commerce, in short E-commerce. I was preparing to leave the US to go solve this problem when I started tinkering with my idea. I found out that there was a more pressing need here in the US. There was a silent killer on Main Street and Ecommerce was the culprit. So I stayed to solve this problem instead. I decided that by putting all stores on a single Ecommerce platform, Ecommerce is forced to support stores on Main Street (any street) rather than starve them. This solution is repeatable across all geographical regions Worldwide. This also empowers retailers (businesses) and leads to a thriving ecosystem . No Ecommerce offering can get bigger than the sum total of all stores on a single platform. This is a hard problem to solve and the implementation has not been without its challenges but the journey has been worth it so far and we are taking it to the rest of the World after our initial markets in the US.
