Luma - Foster meaningful relationships with events and newsletters

Social media (and PH) are great places to share content, but it's hard to foster new relationships. We built Luma to help your community deepen relationships with events, newsletters, member profiles.

Love the progress Luma's making... they're providing a pretty unique combination of tools for creators/makers... and I'm curious who their ideal customers ultimately are.
thanks for hunting us Chris!
Can we embed the subscription form in our own website?
Luma just hit the 1 year mark this weekend! I posted a Twitter thread about it here: We started last March when Whitney, a friend of mine, was laid off her job teaching yoga. She wanted to keep teaching on online but found it hard to coordinate Zoom links, calendar invites, reminders, track Venmo, etc, etc. In a week, we built her a really simple event page. She was able to keep up w/ the regulars that couldn't come to class. But she also invited a lot of people who couldn't make her in person classes because they lived far away. While her in person class got canceled, she created a new community online that brought people together from across the US. With Luma, we're trying to build the platform that helps online communities foster meaningful relationships. Where you can learn a new skill, make a new friend, find motivation, or just spend time hanging out with other cool people. Are you running an online community? Or are you part of an online community that you really like? I'd love to hear from you!
I love the continued growth of Luma since we first listed them on . Simple to get started and powerful features for creators.
Congrats on the launch! Looks like a great alternative to substack!
we've made a lot of improvements over the past couple months and a lot more is coming soon! If you've tried out Luma newsletters, I'd love to hear what you do and don't like
I've already noticed PH relations mostly do not go further PH network, that's ashamed. So that's a good idea guys! Well done :)
Looks like great alternative to Meetup. Is there ability to cross post events to Meetup, Eventbrite, Facebook, LinkedIn?
we don't do that automatically but you can post to different places
Kudos to launching profiles!
LOVE luma. I really can't say enough good things about this product. I've been using Luma since last July to help my spin instructor create and sell virtual spin classes, and it's been a huge success. Thank you!
thank you :)
This looks really interesting. Although I'm a little confused about what it actually is... At first I thought it was a community platform (ie. discord) but with newsletter + event features. Now that I've gone through all the front-facing pages, it seems like a newsletter product with payment gateways and landing pages. Really unique angle... but kind of confusing. Also seems very limited. I've been looking for a place to take my 25k email subscribers and then saw on the pricing page that there's a 10k email subscriber limit. I'll have to wait until they lift that limitation.
hi Dustin, yea we are working on improving the messaging — it's a bit confusing right now. We're working on improving the community platform features. Re your 25k email subscribers, we have hosts w/ similar size lists but they are on custom pricing. Happy to chat thru that w/ you
Heard a lot of good things about Luma and seeing more and more creators use it 💪💪
