Loorevu - We're #1 For Number Two

Existing bathroom apps are dead with outdated data. Yelp/Google bury toilet info. We're purpose-built: gamified community reviews keeping data fresh, AI predictions filling gaps, trip planning with bathroom waypoints. We create business accountability through transparency. First modern platform solving a universal daily problem nobody discusses—until it's too late and you're stuck choosing between terrible options.

Twelve years ago, I had gastric bypass surgery. It changed my life in countless ways—but one unexpected reality hit me hard: I need to find a bathroom fast and often when I'm out in the world. You know that moment of relief when you see a rest stop sign on the highway? That hopeful feeling as you pull off the exit? I've learned not to trust it. Too many times, I've rushed into a facility only to find it's disgusting, out of order, or literally an outdoor porta-potty situation. And when you really need to go—like, medically need to go—discovering your only option is unusable isn't just frustrating. It's crushing. So you get back in the car. You keep driving. You hope the next one is better. Then I started paying attention. One day at a particularly gnarly rest stop, I noticed I wasn't alone in my disappointment. I watched person after person walk in, immediately turn around, and head back to their cars. I started talking to people. Families with kids. Elderly travelers. Professional drivers. Everyone had the same experience: "We're going to find somewhere else." That's when I started digging into the data—and I couldn't believe what I found. Nearly 2 billion road trips happen in America every year. Research shows about 20% of bathroom stops result in people getting back in their cars to find a better option. That's 390 million "bad bathroom" incidents annually. People typically drive 5 miles off their route to make a pit stop—which means when they have to find a second location, they're adding roughly 10.5 miles to their trip. Do the math: we're collectively driving 4.1 billion extra miles per year, burning 136 million gallons of gas (roughly $400-450 million), and dumping 1.2 million metric tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere. All because nobody knows which bathrooms are actually usable. So I built something. I launched a scrappy MVP called "PoopMap" on a no-code platform. Super basic. Premium features for $0.99/month. Within a week, I had 60+ paid subscribers—people I'd never met who were willing to pay because this problem is that real. That's when I knew: this isn't just my problem. This is everyone's problem. We just don't talk about it. Now I'm going bigger. I'm relaunching as loorevu with a much more comprehensive app. I've spent months talking to users—learning what they actually need, stripping away the fluff, and building features that solve real problems: ✅ Freemium model to build community fast ✅ Premium AI features for trip planning and predictions ✅ Exploring ads and sponsors to keep costs accessible ✅ Eventually? I want this to be completely free. The biggest evolution in my thinking: this isn't about subscription revenue—it's about building a movement. The more people who use loorevu, the better the data gets. The better the data, the more people join. That flywheel creates opportunities for sustainable revenue through partnerships while keeping the core experience affordable (or free) for everyone. Because here's the truth: everyone deserves bathroom dignity. Parents with toddlers who can't wait. People with medical conditions like mine. Elderly travelers. Professional drivers logging 10+ hours on the road. College kids on road trips. Anyone who's ever been desperate and disappointed. We're not just mapping bathrooms. We're mapping dignity. We're creating accountability that motivates businesses to maintain standards. We're turning a taboo topic into a community-driven solution. And honestly? We're proving that even the problems nobody wants to talk about deserve thoughtful, modern solutions. Thanks for being here for the launch. Let's flush out a better future together. 💩✨
