Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m the maker of LongTerMemory. I am so excited to finally share LongTerMemory with this community! What inspired me to build this? Like many of you, I’m a chronic 'information consumer.' I spend hours reading newsletters, technical docs, and books, only to realize a month later that I’ve forgotten 90% of what I learned. It felt like I was pouring water into a leaky bucket. I wanted to build a tool that didn't just store information (like a graveyard of bookmarks), but actually encoded it into my brain. The problem I’m solving The 'Forgetting Curve' is a real productivity killer. We live in an era of information overload, but our biological memory hasn't received an upgrade in millennia. Most note-taking apps are great for finding info later, but they don't help you know it. I built LongTerMemory to bridge the gap between 'I read that' and 'I know that,' using a seamless, AI-enhanced workflow that makes retention feel effortless rather than a chore. How the approach evolved Initially, I thought about building a standard Spaced Repetition (SRS) tool. But while working on it, I realized the friction was too high. Nobody wants to manually create flashcards all day. My approach shifted from 'Manual Review' to 'Intelligence Integration.' I focused on how the app could automatically identify key concepts and resurface them at the perfect psychological moment.
