Why we built Lokilizer — a localization helper made by devs for devs

Hey folks 👋

We’re developers who constantly ship apps in Russian and English — our native + global setup.

But every time clients asked for one more language (Spanish, Polish, Hungarian, etc.), it turned into chaos:

duplicate keys, mismatched files, broken placeholders… and endless manual review 😩

So we built Lokilizer — a small open-source tool that fixes all that.

⚡ What it does

  • Translates from two source languages at once (e.g. RU + EN → any others).

  • Supports your existing glossary — so AI uses your preferred terminology.

  • Validates strings (placeholders, variables, punctuation).

  • Manages projects, users, and roles for teams.

  • Runs on any LLM (OpenAI, DeepSeek, etc.) — just plug in your API key.

🧠 Why it matters

Manual translation takes time, costs money, and is full of human errors.

Lokilizer makes it instant, consistent, and controllable.

We’re already using it in our own apps and adding new languages in under 40 minutes.

💛 Try it out

It’s 100% free & open-source → https://github.com/XAKEPEHOK/lokilizer

We’d love your feedback — especially from devs, product teams, or translators.

Love this! Localization is always messier than it looks.
