Lock In Online - People are working. Work too? Or watch as they surpass you?

It is a study app where you get to study with other people but unlike other study together apps, you can't interact with the people you are studying with. All you know is how many people are online and how many people are working. This is somewhat of a toxic study motivation app as seeing the number of people online is supposed to motivate you to get to work. However, it may also serve as a way for people to study with others without the distraction of talking or comments.

I was sitting alone in my room at 11:00pm. I had an exam the next day at 9:00am but I just couldn't get myself to study. Multiple times, I opened my phone to see people online living life, experiencing things and doing crazy things. I wanted to do that but I new that to reach the lifestyle I wanted I would have to put in the effort whether it was studying for an exam or learning a profitable skill. I thought about the hundreds; no thousands; no millions of people around the world who were probably working while I was sat there doing nothing. This, weirdly enough, gave me the motivation to get to work even if it was only for an hour. I don't know whether this motivates other people but either way: My website is supposed to be a way to actually see how many people are working at the same time as you. So now, that feeling of falling behind is not just in your mind: it is in front of you, on the screen. There is no login required just enter a name and start studying ik that at first there will be little to no people online which makes the concept weaker, but hey, at least you're one of the first users!
