Local AI Gatherings - Lunch or dinner gatherings with other amazing people in AI

by
We started to organize small local gatherings for lunch or dinner with other amazing people who are working in AI, Data Science, and Machine Learning in the SF Bay Area. We invite other people and companies to join us to organize or host similar gatherings.

The field of AI is changing very fast and it is impacting all industries. We need people from many different backgrounds to sit together, to start deep relationships, have discussions, find opportunities, and build partnerships. Organizing a gathering of up to 10 people in a local restaurant for lunch or dinner is a simple way to bring people together to make new and deep connections. It doesn't have any of the complexities of hosting a meetup. I started organizing similar gatherings a few years ago and met some amazing people. Those professional relations and friendships have lasted to this date and have helped me professionally in so many ways. Now, I would like to expand this at a larger scale. What is the reason for these gatherings? Your Network is Your Ultimate Asset. Your success in your career and life depends on who is in your network and how deep those relations are. Most jobs are filled through connections, most startups are funded through introductions, most products are bought because of recommendations, most customers are generated through referrals. The more relationships with value you have, the more valuable you become, not only to yourself, but to the world: your employers, your clients, peers and so on. It’s all about relationships. Why should we meet in small groups for lunch or dinner? In this book ‘Never Eat Alone’ Keith Ferrazzi suggests a meal is a spectacular time to connect with others. If you are eating alone, you are missing out on an opportunity. These small groups are a great setup to focus on building meaningful relations. Instead of schmoozing and collecting business cards at conferences or adding to your LinkedIn connections. Focus on establishing a few good real world connections. Take the time to deepen each relationship. Have meaningful conversations and find ways to make other people more successful. I would like to invite the Product Hunt community to join this initiative.
