Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I’m an indie developer and a smoker who has relapsed 3 times in the past few years.
The Problem: I realized that most quit-smoking apps rely on "fear tactics"—showing gross pictures of diseased lungs to scare you into quitting. For me (and I suspect many others), this approach backfired. Seeing those images just spiked my anxiety, which ironically triggered more cravings. It was a vicious cycle.
The Solution: I decided to code a tool focused on "physiological calm" instead of guilt. I call it LiteBreath.
✨ How it works:
SOS Haptics (The Core): When a craving hits, you tap the SOS button. The app uses the iPhone’s Taptic Engine to generate precise vibrations that mimic a slow breathing rhythm (4-7-8 technique). The physical sensation grounds you and replaces the "hand-to-mouth" ritual.
Biofeedback: It syncs with Apple Watch to visualize your actual physical recovery (Resting Heart Rate & Blood Oxygen), giving you positive reinforcement based on real data.
Privacy First: No sign-up required. Your health data stays on your device.
Free for everyone: Since I built this primarily to solve my own problem, the core features (SOS Breathing & Tracking) are completely free forever.
🙏 I’d love your feedback: I’m especially curious to hear what you think about the haptic breathing concept. Does the "calm" approach resonate with you more than the traditional "scary" one?
Thanks for checking it out! Let's breathe free. 🌿
