LinkPre vs Linktree — Why we’re building something different
Hi Product Hunt community 👋
We’re preparing to launch LinkPre on Feb 5, 2026, and before launch I wanted to share why we’re building it — and how it’s different from traditional link-in-bio tools like Linktree.
Linktree does a great job at one thing:
putting multiple links behind a single URL.
But while building and talking to professionals, freelancers, builders, and students, we noticed a different problem:
Most people don’t need more links.
They need more trust.
What we observed
Link-in-bio tools mostly:
Redirect visitors away
Act as navigation pages
Don’t explain who you are or why someone should work with you
For hiring managers, clients, or collaborators, that’s often not enough.
What LinkPre focuses on
LinkPre is built as a digital identity / living resume, not a link list.
Instead of only links, a LinkPre profile can show:
Projects and real work
Skills, certifications, honors & awards
Testimonials and embedded X tweets as social proof
Videos, images, and products
Experience and customer links
Calendar to book meetings
All in one structured profile — without forcing visitors to jump across multiple sites.
The core difference
Linktree: “Where should I click next?”
LinkPre: “Why should I trust you and work with you?”
Our goal isn’t to replace Linktree — it’s to serve a different use case:
helping people build credibility, win leads, and close more bookings from a single link.
We’re launching on Feb 5, 2026, and I’d genuinely love feedback from the PH community:
Does this resonate?
What would you expect from a “digital identity” tool?
What would make this truly valuable for you?
Thanks for reading 🙏
