I built Linger because I found annoying that I could not see my view-once images or videos on my computer.
Reading DMs on a computer was also more awkward than it should be, so Linger does both: a proper desktop inbox, and a way to keep the photos, videos and voice messages people send you, even view-once photos and videos can be saved..
A few things I care about:
🔒 Private by design. Your messages, media and login stay on your computer. Linger has no servers and no account of its own, and your password is never stored. I never see your messages.
⚡ Auto-save. Turn it on and new media, disappearing photos and videos included, is saved by itself while Linger runs.
🕐 Scheduled messages. Write now, send later. Your computer just needs to be on with Linger running.
