LimitBar - Check Codex and Claude usage from your Mac menu bar

by
LimitBar is a simple macOS menu bar app for checking Codex and Claude usage at a glance. I built it because I wanted to know where I stood without opening a browser or checking account pages. It uses local login sessions already on the machine, supports a small floating widget, and keeps the whole workflow fast, visible, and lightweight.

Here is a Product Hunt first comment draft: I built LimitBar because I kept wanting the same thing: a dead-simple way to check my Codex and Claude usage without opening a browser or digging through account pages. LimitBar lives in the macOS menu bar and can also show a small floating widget, so the answer is always visible in a second. A few details: Works from local login sessions already on your Mac No API-key setup Supports Codex and Claude usage monitoring Includes refresh, notifications, and a lightweight history view This is still an early version, but it is already the tool I wanted for my own daily workflow: simple, fast, and always visible. If useful, I can also write a more casual version or a more maker-story version for Product Hunt.
