LikeMind is a tool for tracking tasks, goals, and progress, fostering a shared journey with like-minded individuals. Our mission is to assist you in building a community of motivators who propel you toward success.
Greetings, People of PH!
I'd like to share the backstory of how this app came to be.
In 2021, I made a bold move, leaving everything behind to start a new life in Bali. Feeling the need for a change, I had been working on an e-commerce store but struggled to find the motivation required for its success.
My unconventional path left me feeling misunderstood by friends and family who were already well-established in their careers.
In search of like-minded individuals who could relate to my journey and its challenges, I decided to relocate to a place known for attracting fellow entrepreneurs.
This decision turned out to be one of the best I've ever made. In Bali, I connected with people from around the world, each with their own unique story. Our shared understanding of being different and working towards something similar brought us together. I found my tribe.
That's when it hit me: Why did I have to travel halfway across the globe to find a sense of belonging?
How could I extend this feeling to others? Not everyone can simply uproot their lives and move to a different country.
I know many people with fitness goals and no support system, language learning goals and no one to practice with, and of course, an entrepreneurial mindset with peers who donโt relate.
And so, LikeMind was born.
LikeMind is a productivity app created for people like my past self, a tool that brings like-minded individuals to you, removing the need for extensive travels. There's no better feeling than discovering the right tribe, and LikeMind aims to make that possible.
The app is designed to enhance your productivity by connecting you with people on a similar journey. So, if youโre living a life where your past connections shape your actions, LikeMind aims to reverse that and help you showcase your actions to build connections.
I know I haven't gone into much detail about the app's functionality in this comment (I think I'm supposed to ๐ ), but I wanted to give you a glimpse into the thought process that drove the creation of this app.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my product. If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to reach out!
@sabbi_lyon I Iove a few things about this! 1. I agree the social element can only be a good thing for keeping motivation going and resisting distractions, at University 'library buddies' were a great example of this, feel like we've lost our way since! 2. Your launch video is crystal clear and super authentic, top marks from me.
One thought I had was this: quite often in life good things happen when you tell people what you're working on, even if you don't think that person can help sometimes they'll intro you to someone or offer to help in a way you weren't expecting. I wonder if LikeMind has an opportunity here by allowing this sort of serendipity to play out over the app. Good luck with the launch!
@ali_gordon Thank you for the reply, Ali! I love your point that 'good things happen when you tell people what you're working on.' I think that can be the biggest hurdle for some people. Hopefully, I can play a role in helping people feel comfortable in doing so. Thank you again for the reply!

Hey!
Congratulations and thanks for you personal-story-first approach.
Could you elaborate please about what technologies you have used to build the app for two platforms? Did you use a low-code/no-code platform or it's all build on native languages?
@shq Hello Alex! I actually used Flutterflow for this project. It has been a great tool so far. Thank you for the reply!

Nice product and a slick launch video too.
Do you coach people how to set good goals too? I remember when I was introduced to writing proper OKR's a few years back and it completely transformed how I approached work/life and measure success. I wonder whether that feature (prob super easy to build with gpt3.5/4) could improve it even further.... because being held socially accountable for poor fluffy goals probably isn't that useful, but if they're great goals - then that's really meaningful. Just a thought!
Best of luck with the launch :)
@james_kuht Hello James! I actually have a built in goal planner using GPT3.5 on the app! It's mainly for people who need a little extra guidance. But i could focus more on walking users through goal planning ๐ค That might be really useful. Thank you for the reply!

@sabbi_lyon ah sorry man - hadn't seen that, my bad. Sounds like you're all over it :) good luck and catch some waves for me in Bali please - very jealous!
@narendra_solanki Hello, Thank you! Not at this time unfortunately. But it is something in the pipeline! I also am planning to integrate some sort of group competition. Where people can group up to compete with other groups based on their goal progress. Lot's in the works!

This sounds like a great tool for staying organized and motivated! I love the idea of building a community of like-minded individuals who can support each other in achieving their goals. It's always helpful to have a group of motivators pushing you towards success. I can't wait for the launch of your product! If you need any advice or support, feel free to reach out. Good luck and thank you for creating such a valuable tool!
Excited to try LikeMind! What challenges did you face during the development process? What unique insights have you found when it comes to building a community-oriented tool?
@itsawaisyounas It definitely wasn't a straight forward process. It took me about 6 months to get to the point of launch. Early on i had issues with a developer i hired to help with some advanced features i was having trouble with. But it was mainly my fault for not giving detailed instructions. lessons were learned.
When it comes to a community-oriented tool, i realized growth is a slow process. It's almost like two products; the app and the community itself. It's still early days, but so far its been an exciting journey and worth every second!
