Here is Brian Lee, a founder of StellarStep. And previously I also made Live Focus, hunted on PH! : https://www.producthunt.com/post... Introducing our new camera app for iOS, Lightsynth. The first camera which supports mobile ADR - Adaptive Dynamic Range, Lightsynth lets you have done with all kinds of exposure trouble under various tricky lighting situations such as daylight skies, backlit, or low-light. Lightsynth's advanced exposure estimation technology based on intelligent evaluative algorithm will catch the best exposure combination of the current scene. The camera also supports three weight mode, Balance, Highlight, and Shadow-Weighted metering mode. It means you can select the priority of each area that has different brightness. For example, If a user wants to take best selfies under the bright sun, can choose the "Shadow-Weighted Metering" mode. And the smart autopilot mode allows to automatically capture you or it will suggest the best photographing timing in the difficult situations for taking pictures. Through this project, we are dreaming for finally changing the way to capture the photography from the manual exposure control to autonomous.

Looks awesome! Want to use it but no android version??? 😞
Stellarstep
@sagar868 Yes, Sagar. I think Android’s camera/imaging world is also growing fast and being important! We’ll consider to build it!
Sagar Honakeri
@gitmerge Thanks, will be happy to use it on my Android Phone. Till then does this work on Ipod or an Ipad? If so then will be glad to get a code. Thanks!

Looks like super promising tech — but I'll warn anyone who gives it a shot (pun intended) — make sure to keep your phone absolutely still while the photo making process takes place. It's not instantaneous — and in my experience (with an iPhone 7 Plus no less!) it took several seconds to take a single photo.
Stellarstep
@chrismessina Yes, Thank you, Chris. I talked about Lightsynth's processing performance and its quality with Chris. I'm talking about two core technical stories. First are the CPU-based complex tone mapping and calibration process. It is precisely slow than other default HDR processing. So we have a plan to move forward to GPU base processing soon. Please wait for a little! And, second ADR is not HDR. ADR, Adaptive Dynamic Range relies on real-time zonal exposure metering. Our version 1.0, internal matrix based exposure metering algorithm is initially working now. Traditional HDR is just bracketing using EV+/- bias. So its quality range is stable but so-so terrible output sometimes under strong lighting situations(sun shining). Contrastively, ADR's range is from amazingly best to not good. But if you are under the very strong backlit situation, you are going to feel the real power of Lightsynth. So anyway we know we should improve average quality. In conclusion, to sum up, https://adr.camera/compare/ we provided is also the exactly real thing. But not always! So our remaining issue is..... Working hard! 😀 😃 😄 😁 😆 😅 😂 😭
Chris Messina
@gitmerge I definitely see some quality output when I keep my phone stable — it just requires a little more user hand holding to set the right expectations to get the best results!
Stellarstep
@chrismessina Yes, Thanks Chris for your interest! The current version is only 1.0 so please look forward :) And I notice that one of our user Jorge Carabias (https://twitter.com/jorgecarabias), took this result: https://twitter.com/jorgecarabia... Yes, this is perfect "wide" exposure range! But I think saturation is slightly high. We'll improve that!

Come on guys, what about some iTunes App Store reviews for those who received a code!
Stellarstep
@stevenlaw Hi Steven! How is that not a celebration of new app launch? :) All the software development for the new concept is required a bunch of time, efforts, and worries than your one line typing. ;) We, working-level tech industry people and developers are the friend of the problem-solving and also dark night. 😬
Steven Law
@gitmerge I really have no idea what you mean! I was stating that free codes were given away to Product Hunt users, the recipients should then review on the App Store to support, you the developer and the product itself. After all App Store reviews are what get an APP noticed and sold.
Stellarstep
@stevenlaw Ah yes. Of course. AppStore's review section is the area for your real thought. Please, leave your "real" opinion. And There's a no way to find your opened DM channel, website(Your website .co.uk seems broken), and email address. Feel free to DM me. I'll also send a promo code for you. Then you can write anything you want :)
Steven Law
@gitmerge Thanks Brian that's it all sorted now! WIll DM you.
Kwame Henderson

This is one truly remarkable photo app, it produces very accurate photographs which have amazing detail. I took a photo of my dog in a reasonable dark area, the detail and quality of photo produced was superb. Congrats!
Stellarstep
@stevenlaw Thanks for your interest Steven. Yeah, but it just only 1.0 yet. So there are several inconveniencing points are still exist. Please look forward to more improvements! And if you can, please share your nice photos to us. We'll introduce your result to other users and register into @From Users directory in https://adr.camera/compare/
