How is your team actually enforcing legal policy today, not just storing it?

Curious how other teams handle this: most legal/procurement stacks are good at storing contracts and templates, but I keep running into teams where the actual standards (liability caps, required clauses, approved jurisdictions) live in someone's head, a Slack thread, or an outdated Google Doc - not anywhere the tools can check against.

AI tools have made drafting and reviewing faster, but "faster" and "compliant with our own rules" turn out to be two different problems. Even really good AI-generated contract language doesn't know what your organization's standards actually are unless someone manually checks it.

Has anyone found a good system for this? Is it a CLM feature, a homegrown checklist, or mostly still "the GC remembers"? Genuinely curious how people are solving it, or if it's just an accepted pain point right now.
