Hi Producthunters!
I’m one of the partners at LI2EI, a tech start-up looking to get rid of old-fashioned views of technology as an educational tool. We’re a small team of 4 and have been working on the project for quite some time now.
It’s pretty common now you’ll see kids with tablets and smartphones. Most of the usage is for gaming and socializing with friends. Parents have trouble seeing the value of using technology as an educational tool so instead opt for the old ideas of “paper work = tangible work = my kids are studying”.
We started with a mission - to encourage kids to learn on their own by incentivizing their learning by rewarding screen time. It’s 2021, screentime is just a natural part of life now and the more we try to put a taboo on it, the more kids are going to want to use it.
There’s app blockers out there - but they don’t really teach kids anything. There’s also educational apps out there, but on the flipside, they don’t really give kids any motivating factors other than customization or skins. We decided to smash the two together and put out an app that motivates kids to learn by blocking apps until the work is done.
We’re still just starting to roll out our release, so any feedback we can get is extremely valuable to us.
LI2EI is:

👨👩👦 Designed to Help Parents
Parents get to monitor their child’s progress and score history all in a neat and simple package on their dashboard. Additionally, they can set up the device and pass it to their kids - no need to keep an eye on them anymore.
🔒 Secure
We built in a bunch of safeguards to ensure that the app is near impossible to uninstall on Android, and alerts the parents when it is removed on iOS.
Check us out, and shoot any feedback our way! Every little bit helps us.
