Latch - Figma plugin that auto links raw values to your variables

by•
Latch is a Figma plugin that finds every raw, unbound value in your file (padding, gap, corner radius, stroke width, fills) and binds them to variables from your team library in one click. Layout: scans your whole selection and matches number values automatically. Colors: auto-matches every unique color to the closest variable, with full override. Nothing is bound without your review. Already-bound values are left untouched, so it's safe on partially tokenized files.

Hello Everyone! I run design systems for a retail group with six brands, all of it ecommerce, all of it in English and Arabic. Handoff was the same story every time, a designer finishes a screen, it looks right, and then someone has to go through every frame connecting spacing and colors back to the system. It's slow, and things always get missed. So I built Latch. Select a frame, pick the exact library file and collection you want to bind against, and it shows you what's linked and what's still raw. One click does the rest. The part I cared most about is scope. You can say "bind this to Semantics, not Primitives" and it will only ever consider that. Nearest-value matching is a toggle, off by default, so nothing gets approximated unless you ask. It's been running on our own files for months. Free, no account needed. Would love to hear how it holds up on your token setup, especially if your naming is very different from ours.
