Hey everyone, I'm Jack, the person who built this and who's going to be running it.
Quick bit of context: I'm based in the UK, I've been into country music for years. The reason I built Lasso is that I'm part of a few Facebook groups for country music fans, and there were daily posts from people going to festivals solo or single people looking for their cowboys. Every time I saw those posts it was obvious there was no good place for those people to actually find each other. No app, no community, no obvious destination.
Country music in the UK has grown massively over the last decade but the social infrastructure hasn't kept up. There's no obvious place to meet people who share that lifestyle, especially outside of London. Lasso is my attempt to fix that.
A few things I'd genuinely love your feedback on:
Does the postcode cluster launch model make sense? (We hold the waitlist and release by area once about 500 people are within 50 miles, so you're not launching into an empty app)
- UK vs US split: we're getting sign-ups from both. Should we launch both markets simultaneously or go UK-first?
