LanMote - A media remote control for your Mac

by
Hi, my app LanMote just landed in the Mac AppStore. After install you go to the tray icon and click settings to display a QR code. Scan it and it makes your phone a remote control for simple actions like: Volume Up/Down Play, Pause, Previous, Next If you want to test for free, I can dm you an Appstore free voucher (still have 100 to give away at the time of posting) If you’re happy to support a solo-preneur, buy the app for the price of a coffee :)

I often have something playing on my Mac (music, YouTube, Netflix…), and I wanted a simple way to control volume and playback without going back to the keyboard every time. Most solutions I found felt a bit heavy for that use case — full remote control, extra setup, or too many features for something that should be very simple. So I ended up building a minimal alternative that works over the local network. You scan a QR code from your Mac, and your phone becomes a lightweight remote for volume and media controls. No account, no cloud — just a direct connection. I focused on keeping it fast and simple, something that feels closer to a physical remote.
