Language Learning with Netflix - Use movies as study material for language learning

LLN is a chrome extension that gives you superpowers over Netflix.

It makes studying languages with films/series more effective and enjoyable.

Awesome, would love to add words to lists to study them later or on the go. Any plans to implement this? 😉

What more do you need to know?

Pros:

I like the name.

Cons:

The name is too long.

Learning a language with TV shows and movies - is definately the best way to learn (proven by scientific researches ;)) We, in Lingopie, totally agree with that and support the method! That's the essence of Lingopie BUT Lingopie's learning method has much more! You not only watch great TV shows and movies with doubled and clickable subtitles. You also save words, review flashcards and pass quizzes on them. Much more effective and entertaining learning.
Really great concept!
This is really great!!! Educational yet entertaining
Seems stuck on "loading subs please wait"
Me too. Did you manage to resolve this?
no, but I didn't attempt anything in particular
One problem I had learning Spanish was that subtitles didn’t always match what was being said, how do you source the text to display?
Woah I saw this on the Crazy Ideas subreddit! So glad someone is doing it! Best of luck!!!
Awesome stuff! Trying to learn norwegian now and have actually learned a lot by just reading subtitles with english test. Next step though is my listening comprehension. However. I am getting some errors with Norwegain as the extension is not working....
Can this be implemented with Youtube? Netflix is paid service. 😟
