Congrats on the launch! I really like Lambda! Compared to other tools, it feels much easier to use, which is a big plus. I was a bit surprised by your approach to adding portfolios. Using transactions instead of current holdings is definitely the best way to measure portfolio performance. However, I’m not sure individual investors always have a complete track record of their actions. If Lambda allows adding transactions without dates, it probably should be communicated in the interface to avoid confusion. Another improvement you could make is to streamline the information upload process by accepting not just CSVs but any file types. Modern LLMs can parse almost anything, including manual table scraping. Lastly, a quick note of caution, regarding API integration: it is more challenging than it seems (at least for the US market). Even simultaneous use of multiple connection providers like Plaid and Yodlee, won't lead to a good connection success rate. It’s worth keeping in mind and designing the interface to account for potential limitations. Great work overall, I’m excited to see Lambda continue to grow and evolve! 🚀

Leveraging OCR and modern LLM technologies will enable us to accurately parse and process different data formats, making the upload process more seamless and versatile for our users. Regarding API integration, you’re absolutely right about the challenges, especially in the Japanese market. Security regulations require us to obtain licenses from government agencies when connecting customer accounts, and we are actively working on securing these licenses. We are also experimenting with tools like Plaid and Yodlee to determine the best solutions for reliable and secure connections.
