Kocteau started from a simple frustration: music discovery today feels too driven by algorithms and too disconnected from real people. I wanted a place where discovering music feels social again — through reviews, collections, and shared taste instead of endless passive feeds. As the product evolved, the focus became clearer: help people discover albums and tracks through real listeners, while giving them a modern space to express their taste and build their identity around music.
