I got tired of spending 40 minutes editing a 2-minute screen recording

by

Hi everyone,

I'm Ilyes, a solo developer. I wanted to share something I've been building for a while, it's launching on Product Hunt today, and I figured I'd tell the actual story here first instead of just dropping a link later.

For anyone who hasn't come across it yet: it's a screen recorder for Windows and Mac that edits your recording automatically the moment you stop, no separate editing app needed.

I record a lot of short screen clips for work: reproducing a bug for a teammate, walking through a PR, putting together a quick tutorial. The recording itself was never the problem. What actually ate my time was everything after: opening a separate editor, cutting the dead air, manually zooming in so people could actually see what I clicked, syncing subtitles one line at a time. A two-minute recording would routinely turn into thirty or forty minutes of editing, for something that was supposed to save time in the first place.

Most of the existing tools that solve this well are subscription only, or just never quite gave me the kind of polished result I wanted, and I only used them a few times a month, which made paying every month hard to justify. So I built the tool I actually wanted, one that edits the recording automatically the moment you stop.

What it does automatically once you hit stop:

  • Zooms in on clicks and smooths out cursor movement so nothing looks jittery

  • Captures screen, webcam, and every audio source in sync from frame one

  • Generates subtitles without any manual timing

  • Removes background noise and echo

  • Exports straight into the format you need

Everything also runs locally: recording, editing, subtitles, all of it happens on your machine, nothing gets uploaded anywhere. There's a permanent free tier at 720p if you just want to try it before paying for anything, and the paid version is a one-time purchase, no subscription, no renewal.

It's been live for a bit over a month now, and honestly the best part has been seeing people actually use it every day for their own work instead of it just sitting on a landing page. Today's the Product Hunt launch, so if you want to see where it's at: .

Happy to answer anything about how it works, thanks to everyone who takes the time to check it out, leave feedback, or just stop by the launch today, it genuinely means a lot for me.
