I like the idea of learning from stuff you'd actually say. Feels more useful than going through a bunch of random vocab.

The keyboard part is actually pretty neat. Does it work well when you're just typing quickly?

@aria_taylor Yes, it feels smooth. We use Apple’s built-in translation, so it responds faster. And it won’t get in the way of typing in your own language.
The saved phrases caught my attention. I'd probably use that a lot for expressions I keep forgetting.

learning into a habit you already have, with your own conversations, work, and ideas as
the material.
Language learning often means making time for another routine: opening an app, finding
material, and shifting your attention. Even after studying vocabulary and textbook
examples, you may still wonder how to express what you mean in a real conversation. 💬
Keysake connects learning to daily expression in three ways:
1. ⌨️ Start with a habit you already have.
As you type Chinese, English appears alongside it. You keep writing your original
message, without a separate translation request or app switch. An everyday task becomes
an opportunity to notice useful English.
2. 💡 Learn from what you actually want to say.
A work update, dinner plans, or a half-formed idea: the content comes from your real
life. You're not just seeing English. You're connecting something you already mean with
another way to express it.
3. 💾 Keep the expressions that matter to you.
Right-click to save the current word, phrase, or sentence. Press Space twice on any
input candidate to save the associated full sentence, even before you've finished
typing it. Over time, you build a personal expression library shaped by things you've
actually wanted to say.
This release supports Chinese input with English display on macOS. Japanese, Korean,
and more languages are coming soon. 🌏 Next up are iOS and cross-device sync. Deeper
grammar and usage explanations, AI answers to your language questions, and practice
tools are on the roadmap. 🤖
Chinese-to-English is the starting point. The vision is language learning that grows
out of everyday expression.
