A lot of people shutdown their online businesses and startups without leaving a single trace. With KeepAlive, they could easily share what they've worked on so that someone else improve or use it on another project.

I've seen a lot of people shutdown their businesses, I did it in the past too. They drop the domain name and they delete the source code and it's so sad because somebody could have benefited from it in a way or another. The hours dedicated to a project are gone forever, it doesn't matter if you're giving away the project or simply putting it on the trash but it's giving to the community is a benefit.
