Great app.

Pros:

Very thin

Cons:

No cons for the moment

I do not see a shortcut to start and stop recording, or am I missing something?
Such a shame. v1 had a great feature where the dropdown control panel could be torn off and positioned out of the way on a second monitor if you fancied it. For some reason this feature has been removed from v2. Thankfully v1.x can still be downloaded from the releases page so I'm back with it. Aside from that, Kap is an excellent product.

Was fine to make a video, but hung up my computer at one point (had to restart) as it was throwing lots of exceptions. Also had trouble exporting to mp4 on multiple occasions

Pros:

Nice UI

Cons:

Lots of crashes

That's no good! We recently released an update that should fix both issues, if you'd like to give it another try you can download it here:

Pros:

SIMPLE TO USE WITH HI RES RECORDINGS, WHAT ELSE

Cons:

I want to trim a video file (mp4) created using kap. I am using quicktime but I can not save the trimmed file! Any suggestions?
So glad to have found this! Still not sure if the GIFs are much more optimized than Giphy Capture, but the experience is quite seamless.
Some installation instructions. Confirmed my MacBook Pro met tech requirements, downloaded and installed product... but it does not work. No troubleshooting guidelines anywhere, nothing. Useless.
