The best I use. There is also an free open source one. Can't remember the name. Maybe "spectacle"

@stephanehaddad I'm using spectale on my mac, what are the features will make me switch to this app? if you've got the answer, thanks!
Stephane
@jibe_84 Better finish & integration, plus advanced features to split the screen in multiple windows.

@stephanehaddad @jibe_84 Can you elaborate on this? I'm a Spectacle fan for its simplicity. How would Magnet improve my workflow?

@fishsander @stephanehaddad @jibe_84 I prefer Spectacle for the keyboard shortcuts... no mention on Magnet's site of keyboard shortcuts.

@blawrencepdx @stephanehaddad @jibe_84 Same. He mentions Mouse gestures, but using a mouse is overrated 👀

I've been using Spectacles for a while, what are the benefits of Magnet?
Pavel Kozarek
@edvinsantonovs Mouse gestures, better finish and reliability.

@mostarna @edvinsantonovs Same question here, Spectacle is great and configurable by the terminal. That means automation. The link took me to the buy page, didn't see what's different. Is there a trial or a review copy? I'm not sold right now.

New in version 2.0: ・Left/Center/Right Thirds of the screen are now supported – Drag a window to the bottom edge of your screen to create third. You can also use default keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Alt+D/F/G or create yours. ・Left Two Thirds & Right Two Thirds of the screen are now supported – Drag a window to the bottom edge of your screen and slide on it to create two thirds. You can also use default keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Alt+E/T or create yours. ・Adobe Creative Cloud apps are now supported (since 2017 version). ・macOS 10.12 Sierra performance and stability is improved.

@chrismessina Magnet is one of the best money I've ever spent on the Mac App Store! Can't recommend it enough.

What's the key benefits vs. "BetterSnapTool"?
Pavel Kozarek
@olekeding Simplicity and reliability.
Parwinder Bhagat
@olekeding Im surprised this is not higher up. The amount of customization you can do with BTT is insane. I had a ton of gestures setup but I was using a different app for window management. Took me 15 minutes to do it all in BTT. Secondly, the dev for BTT is an awesome guy providing lightning fast updates.

Nice, but i love https://www.spectacleapp.com/ > Its free lol
Dean Ward
@douglasevaristo It's 0.99?
Douglas Evaristo
@realdeanward Yes but https://www.spectacleapp.com/ its free, and do exactly the same thing! <3
Liz Resurreccion
@douglasevaristo thanks for sharing this link

Kinda curious: what's the usp of Magnet 2.0 in relation to the many other contenders in the overcrowded Mac window manager arena?
Pavel Kozarek
@t55 Simplicity & reliability.

99 cents seems more than reasonable for a Mac app that makes life easier. :)

More info here: http://magnet.crowdcafe.com/, useful FAQ page too: http://magnet.crowdcafe.com/faq.... YouTube review:
The snapping feature is nice, but not really seeing much more than what is already offered for free in Spectacle. Plus, although $0.99 is not so bad, note that in the App Store page it says the price is currently "discounted 80% for a limited time" so the actual price is about $5
Antonio Bustamante
@shimmb Alright, nice, I was looking for this.

My day just became 10x happier when I saw the Adobe CC support. Thanks for a fantastic update!
