"Tell me who you hang out with and I'll tell you who you are" expands to what we consume.
Every product and content has the ideological imprint of its creator. The creator sells his idea by decorating it in the best way, Exposing the "pros" over the "cons" and creating a perfect environment that makes his point of view flourish.
The intellectual baggage is included in what we consume and it does not have to be visible to be digested (subliminal messages).
In my city there is a saying, "he who walks with a lame in a year is lame" referring to the replication and the normalization effect that seeing a thing a lot gives.
I think this is known by content producers/creators and that is why we see more and more content creation for socio-political purposes in the media.
This is where the “woke” content is born. A type of content that is characterized by going against social traditions.
In the Woke content, black supremacism, modern feminism or LGBTQ rights are defended directly through the script, the information provided or subtly with the conscious involvement of characters. White, straight male characters are often the bad guys or their role is significantly reduced, giving a more important presence to minority characters, injecting them into places, scenes and/or actions in which in real life they do not normally participate. (A black is the president, a woman beats 15 men in a fight, a neighborhood with two gay couples).
In short, woke content is content that uses content for something other than its natural purpose, such as a political and normalizing message.
I believe that the best way to defend society is by identifying this type of content so that the idiology does not enter us like a Trojan horse. Then we can decide what we consume to decide who we will be.
With woke.info the user can share “woke” content and discuss with other people.
