Why did you build this? I built IssuePay to solve a common problem in the developer community: talented coders often spend hours fixing issues in open source or small projects without fair compensation. At the same time, maintainers and companies struggle to get their issues resolved quickly and reliably. IssuePay bridges that gap by turning issues into paid opportunities, creating a win-win for contributors and maintainers alike. What’s new and unique about your launch compared to alternatives? Unlike typical bounty platforms, IssuePay integrates directly with GitHub and GitLab issues and offers flexible micro-bounties, contests, and premium plans with lower fees. It’s designed not just as a marketplace, but as a community-driven ecosystem that empowers developers of all levels to earn transparently and for companies to engage contributors meaningfully. The contest feature adds a fun competitive layer that encourages quality contributions. What are you most proud of in this launch? I’m most proud of creating a platform that truly centers on fairness and transparency — enabling developers to be rewarded fairly for their work while giving maintainers easy tools to manage contributions. The seamless integration and user-friendly experience reflect a deep understanding of both sides of the open-source ecosystem, making it accessible and beneficial for everyone involved.
