Why Startup Accelerators Suck and Why I'm Building an Alternative
Hey everyone, I'm Javier, a digital marketer turned website developer. I've been building Creatives Takeover for the last couple of months.
Here's what got me started. I went through an accelerator myself, and beyond the fundraising connections, I walked away wondering what I'd actually gained. A cohort, a demo day, advice that sounded great in a room and fell apart back at my laptop. Nobody handed me a roadmap and even less the full journey.
I also noticed plenty of tools are great at one step, validation here, an MVP builder there, but nobody stitches the whole thing together. You end up juggling five subscriptions and playing your own project manager between them.
So I built this platform. One connected path that actually answers the questions that keep founders stuck:
Is this product worth building?
Who should I talk to? and what should I ask them?
What's the smallest thing I should build next?
How to identify the market needs and not get biased by my own opinions?
No application, no cohort, no equity. You can even launch a live demo before creating an account.
But the most important section is our network: mentors, investors, freelancers and other founders.
Curious what this community thinks: as a rookie founders which are the main challenges you are facing?
I read you all below!
