I'm Jens, founder of Capsule and this is the story why I built it.

A few years ago, my mom was diagnosed with cancer and it made me realize how much I didn't know about her life, her upbringing, her core values and I wanted to change that.

Now, as a father of three, I realize every single day how time flies and memories quickly fade. I take lots of photos, but my kids will never have the type of "photo album" that we used to have growing up. That's what we're solving with Capsule.

The problem: Our best moments are scattered across group chats, different apps and sometimes even phones. You take them, but rarely look at them and most people don't find the time to curate them.

Our solution: We make it easy to bring photos and videos to life with voice overlays, so you can tell the story behind them. Recently, we've also launched AI features to help surface and curate your best moments automatically, so your best memories are saved in a Capsule and you are not drowning in thousands of photos you'll never look at again.

We're launching on Product Hunt this Friday (June 19), and I'm genuinely excited to hear what you all think about Capsule. We've been listening to users who told us their pain point, and we built features specifically for that. Would love to hear how you curate the best moments/memories of your life (or of loved ones) and what the pain points are.

P.S. My mom survived cancer and I have since asked her a ton of questions that I have saved for my sister, myself and her grandkids.
