My brother and I started our first company at 15 and 16. Now we're building our most ambitious one.

Hey PH, I'm Alex.

Quick backstory. My brother David and I started our first company as teenagers (Day1 Labs). We shipped a bunch of consumer social apps, many charted, one got acquired. Been building ever since. Now we run Columbus Earth.

What we're building: a map you can actually talk to. Maps haven't gotten smarter in 15 years. You still can't ask Google Maps for "a romantic spot for drinks, dim lights, quiet enough to actually talk." Every human thinks about places that way. No map does. Fixing this dragged us way deeper than expected, into building a foundational geospatial model.

Real question though. Anyone else build with a sibling? How do you argue about product without ruining Thanksgiving? We have not solved this.
