Maker of PageFlow — helping readers track books without accounts or clutter

by

Hey ProductHunt Fam!

I’m Rob, an iOS developer who enjoys building small, focused apps in my spare time. I’m currently working on PageFlow, a modern iOS reading tracker that keeps everything on your device and avoids the noise of accounts, feeds, and recommendations.

I started building it after getting frustrated with how much friction there is in simply tracking what you’re reading. Most apps feel heavy, social, or overly gamified. I wanted something calm, fast, and private the kind of app you open for a few seconds and get back to your book.

I’m excited to be launching PageFlow soon, and I’m sharing early details on my landing page here:

The hardest part so far has been balancing clean, minimal design with making the app genuinely useful for everyday reading especially progress tracking, shelves, and widgets.

If you’re a reader or someone who enjoys quiet productivity tools, I’d love to hear what matters most to you in a reading app.

Hi @robert_clegg1,

Good to hear about your development of PageFlow.

The last one I used was ReadEra on Android, but I don't use reading apps these days.

To answer you question, what matters to me in a reading app is a visual bookshelf, fullscreen interface (with notification block), daily reminders, and intelligent bookmarking.

Thanks @ashok_nayak  this is really useful. PageFlow isn’t an ebook reader like ReadEra, but I do focus on a clear visual library and a calm, fullscreen feel. Daily reminders and smarter bookmarking are great suggestions too. Appreciate you taking the time to share what matters to you.
